This method involves gathering all of the items or objects a site is going to contain (i.e. for an women's apparel website you might make a list of the items that will be sold, such as mini skirts, skirts and full length skirts etc.). Once all of the items have been gatherd they are each written on a 3x5 notecard. Then a participant that falls under the user group defined above, is asked to organize all of the items in related groups. When that has been accomplished they are asked to label each of the groups. This is done several times with several different representative users. |
